Can my appliances stay outside all winter?
Yes, good quality stainless steel appliances can be left outside in the winter. We have compiled a detailed list of steps you should take to take to winterize your outdoor kitchen and appliances. If you are a seasonal resident or would prefer to have us take care of your outdoor kitchen, we offer an after-installation care program which covers winterizing your outdoor kitchen.

What are the building requirements?
When installing an outdoor kitchen there are certain requirements that must be adhered to. If you build the island containing your grille with wood material, you must install a sleeve around the grille and the inside the cabinet housing the grille. Also, any unit fueled by natural gas or bulk liquid propane must have a shut off valve near, but not too close to the grill. If your grill is in an enclosed space, such as under a gazebo, there must be proper ventilation.
What is the process for creating my custom outdoor kitchen?
When you contact us to discuss your custom outdoor kitchen, we give you our guide, “10 Essential Steps to Planning Your Outdoor Kitchen”, to read and review. We will then set up an on-site consultation to go over your vision and ideas for you kitchen and begin the process of selecting appliances for your kitchen. We accompany you to a local supply yard to view offerings they have for outdoor kitchens. If you are going with a custom designed kitchen, our supplier will provide you with a 3D rendering of your kitchen with suggested placement of appliances. Once you have decided on the layout and materials, we can begin to build your custom outdoor kitchen. When your kitchen is completed we take the time to go over all your components and give you a walkthrough as to how to use everything properly.
What types of materials am I able to use?
The options for creating a custom outdoor kitchen always seem to be expanding.
Pre-Farbicated Units
These outdoor kitchens come ready to assemble. The structure of the unit already has stucco or faux stone installed and everything simply bolts together and the appliances are installed.
Concrete Wall Block Units
These units are usually made by companies such as Techo-Block, Cambridge, and Nicolock. They are easily constructed and match these companies’ offerings for pavers and wall block. You cannot create a truly custom kitchen with these options, however.
Natural Stone
When creating an outdoor kitchen from natural stone, a base of either outdoor rated cabinets or concrete block is constructed and the stone, appliances, and countertop installed around it. These kitchens are completely customizable and can even be constructed as curved units.
